It works fine for me until I write in the php code. Then i get a 500 error. The echo php coe works fine, but not the mysql_connect.

@MrSaracenoPaolo sign up for a free website that supports PHP, then use Filezilla(FTP client) to transfer the files. freezoka(dot)com comes with PHP, MySQL&PHPmyAdmin and email accounts i think
decent stuff to have laying around 😉

@MrSaracenoPaolo you probably use somthing like notepad++ and just run it instead of placing it in htdocs and run it over the localhostpage. if you just copied the code it is pretty much just some basic stuff.

@Hug0101 Just create a GET query for the $_COOKIE[‘user’] and echo the news inside of a textfeild, then when the button is pressed INSERT INTO news(`newsbody `,`newstitle`) VALUES(‘”.$body.”‘,'”.$titile.”‘) 🙂

@olingi4 Have you got the newest version of PHP and MySQL?

  16. olingi4 January 31, 2012 at 3:18 PM #

Srsly, this is annoying; It’s the second time I try to make an News-feature, with the editor PHP-Designer 7, and I got the same error now, and the same error last time. It is something like this; mysql_connect () [2002] A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not (Trying two connectable via tcp: / / localhost: 3306) Wth is this? Anyone?
