    @openwide333 I’m very seriously considering the field as well. Will soon finish up my associates in computer programming and this is very tempting at university, also I also think that two degrees would complement each other well. We are moving to San Jose and the average pay for DBA is pretty amazing really! Go for it if it interests you!

    can you guys help me with my problem,. i got a laptop thinkpad t500 to be called. and im having trouble for accessing it,at first i did some settings to make larger the fonts of my computer and then it says i need to log off to be able to activate it thats why i log it off. but after i entered my user password/ (administrator) it ask for database password and i dont know that password is., can you guys help me with my problem? sorry for poor english,. thankz a lot

    Thank you MasonicTruth for clearing up my title for emm4all. Its american slang. As he said, its the fact that the DBA is down deep into the technology. I hope this helps

    He means you get your hands dirty and not that the job is “dirty” because there is so much to do that one is always in the trenches getting “dirty”

    Well… i am DBA working for Oracle India. i love my job and i am proud of it. there is nothing dirty about my job ,,,,,,,,,
