Is it necessary to build backlinks in subpages or just the main index page for better SEO?

Question by Salamander Way: Is it necessary to build backlinks in subpages or just the main index page for better SEO?
Is it worthless to build backlinks for subpages I want ranked higher on google? Does it affect page rank? And what about submissions?

It looks better in Google’s eyes if you promote your sub-pages too, although I don’t think it is essential at the moment. I don’t do this for any of my websites and they still rank well. I don’t understand what you mean about submissions, that could mean a number of things. Are you asking about directory submissions? The best advice for link building is that every link counts, so build all types of links (including articles, directories, and forum links).

You should work both for your main page as well as inner page because your inner pages are related to your keyword so to rank on those keyword you have to optimize inner pages as well . And in case of submission it is also required.

each page shell be optimized to a different keywords (2-3 per page) therefore backlinks shell be distribute between all your pages. however the index page which is the main shell contain your main keywords and lots more backlinks comparing to any other page. as a part of internal seo – each page you have shell contain a link to the main page – that is the golden rule for sucess!

Deep linking lets you target multiple keywords with relevant links. So it’s necessary to build links for your inner pages so that those keywords that you’ve optimized for your inner page will also rank on search result page.

When you also build links for your subpages, you also direct your visitors to the most relevant page of your site.

It’s necessary to build backlinks as well as optimize all the subpages including the main index of your website. SEO is not a one-time big-time strategy. It requires hard work, time and continuous effort. There are couple of webpages that speak to this matter more than I do. I posted one below.

You should work for all the pages of your websites. If you want to be on the top listings of google then you should work for each page.make submissions on the relevant portals only.

Building Backlinks to sub-pages when you website is new should be your first focus. This is because it mimics natural linking behavior.

When people find your content online, in most cases it’s a sub-page of your site.

As for Page Rank – If you link back to your main home page on from your sub-page, that will direct the Page Rank juice to flow to your Root Domain. Thus, your building a more authoritative site because the roots of your website has good authority instead of just your main domain.

I use a tool called SEnuke X to help me build backlinks. It automates and builds hundreds of backlinks while I sleep. I would look into it for your needing help. It’s pricey, but it does the work of 8 people in a day! Here’s a review http://kickassreport.com/senuke-x-review

Final words, take your main Keyword and type it into google. Then on the side bar of google you will see a See More Search Tools link. Click on the Wonder wheel link and Google will show you the keywords that are most relevant to your main keyword.

Build take each of those words and build a page on your site for each one. Then build links to them. Those pages need to have links with your main keyword in the anchor text to the home page of your site. This will give you mad authority and make your Website thematic and more relevant than most other site on the topic.

For a new site.. I would do 80% links to subpages and 20% to root domain untill you get some PR and around 10,000 links.. Then switch change to 60% links to root domain and 40% to subpages..

    Hope this helps!
