I think you should create a wordpress blog with PLR content so you don’t have to come up with your own content.

I would do both:
I would build a WordPress website and would also promote the WP website on Facebook. However, SEO is the best way to go for targetted traffic.
Absolutely do both! They will complement each other nicely.
Getting leads on FaceBook and twitter and then using the website for landing/sales/info pages, etc. is a great strategy.
Obviously WordPress is much better as it is more flexible and you can add lots of things that are limited on Facebook. However, you can also make a Facebook later on when you are done with your wordpress blogs. You can have a good network on Facebook and then you can put a link there leading to WordPress. Good luck.
