How to write a simple XML document: Tutorial

In this video we will quickly run over XML, what it is, and what it is used for. We will then sit down and write out our very first XML document just a simple list of six people. We will use Dreamweaver, but really any text editor is fine. We will cover creating writing the actual language, adding attributes, as well as how we create our own tags and just some basics to get you going writing your own XML document.     @steves02 You idiot, he did show it. That is how xml shows if you open it in a browser! XML DOES NOT DO ANYTHING. XML IS USED TO ORGANIZE INFORMATION NOT DISPLAY IT!!!!!!

    The author of this video made very big mistakes so this video should not be considered to learn about xml for people.

    1. Giving elements unique names (f.e. (george) (you should rather do it like this: (person)(name)George(/name)(/person))
    2. Adding attributes to names instead of associating these properties with elements.

    I think what we learn from this is even if the videos title screen is shiny and the tutor uses expensive professional tools, this doesn’t means that the tutorial is good

    Yeah, the tutorial starts att 4:14.
    I strongly recommend you skip the “intro” or you will feel like smashing someones face in by the time it starts.
