How to utilize html code in word press website?

Question by brown eyed girl: How to utilize html code in word press website?
I have a static website that is built with word press. Now I want to add something that has an html code, but when I paste the code in the page, it only shows the code on my site, not the actual thing.
Where do I have to paste the html code so that it shows what I want it to show.
