Hi ,

the best and generally acknowledged easiest to install and configure for SEO is WordPress, I use it at the address below.

I havent changed the base theme yet but the theme is edited a lot manually to change things, i also use a few plugins to do stuff in the background like agregate feeds and translate pages etc. Many plugins for wordpress.

Its free and has a great support community with lots of tools available to post to it.

WordPress is a blog tool/program not a content management system. You might want to try
Drupal, Geeklog, Joomla, Mambo Open Source, PHP-Nuke , phpWCMS, phpWebSite, Post-Nuke, Siteframe, TYPO3, or Xoops

I’ve been using some very EZ ideas to get high ranking sites to provide backlinks to my blogs and sites. So far, my Adsense income is up over 25%!

WordPress is probably your best bet, but “out of the box” so to speak it’s not extremely search engine friendly. For example wordpress gives your site name an H1 tag and page titles an H2 tag. You are better off eliminating the h1 tag for site name and changing the h2 to an H1. Also it lists the blog name then post title as your page title. You can find a plugin that lets you change the title settings around to eliminate the site name or reverse the order. Additionally you should change the permalink anchor text to the title and make you nickname you main keywords or site name and not ‘admin’.

You should also look into the sitemaps plugin

    and Google sitemaps plugin

Both of which will make your site much more “crawlable” by search engine spiders. The key to wordpress is it’s written in PHP so you can monkey with the template files to get things just right.
